Aerial Yoga Workshop

Last workshop before Christmas. Sunday December 9th from 10.00 to 11.15 am level 1; from 11.30 to 12.45 level 2, with Kat Walser, Yoga Roof Lugano South

Come “fly” with us! Aerial Yoga offers authentic yoga, with the support of a soft, aerial fabric hammock, to explore, refine, and advance traditional asana, both in the air and on the ground. It is a comprehensive discipline, grounded in yogic tradition, that offers challenge and change for your whole being – body, mind and spirit.
Aerial Yoga helps to decompress the spine and release years of tension, as well as correct chronic misalignment and poor postural habits in the body, including kyphosis (shoulder-slumping) of the spine and “computer gaze.”
Beginners (to Yoga in general and Aerial Yoga in particular) are welcome to the first class.
To participate to the Aerial class level 2, 6 months of regular practices are required as well as 2 classes of aerial yoga level 1. All classes will be taught using the world-renowned Unnata® Aerial Yoga Method, which prioritizes safety, quality, and integrity; most importantly, the Unnata Method keeps the Yoga in Aerial Yoga.

Please wear form-fitting, comfortable clothes appropriate for yoga. It is best to wear tops that cover the upper arms (or a cover-up for your tank top). All jewelry (including rings) must be removed before the practice. Please, do not wear any clothing with zippers! This includes pants with a small key zipper in the back. This is very important, as zippers and jewelry can destroy the hammocks (a.k.a., “aerial silks”).

Before practicing aerial yoga, please ensure that you notify Yoga Roof immediately if you are pregnant or have any of the following conditions: glaucoma, high blood pressure, low blood pressure, epilepsy, hiatal hernia, recent stroke, recent head injury or concussion, recent surgery, extreme vertigo. Please note: Botox should be avoided within 24 hours of an aerial yoga class.

Reservation for workshops are binding. If for any reason you should not be able to attend a workshop you are signed up for, we kindly ask you to cancel your reservation with at least 24 hour notice. Should this not be the case, the class will be billed.
