Yoga Nidra is an ancient practice that is still little known, even though it is slowly becoming popular both as a form of meditation and as mind-body therapy. It consists of a systematic process of guided relaxation that usually takes 35 to 40 minutes.
This practice gives immediate physical benefits: the reduction of stress and a better quality of sleep. Among other things, it can also help to heal psychological wounds. As a meditative practice it develops a deep sense of joy and well-being.
“With Yoga Nidra we refresh the body, senses and mind by bringing them back to their true nature. We awaken a seventh sense that allows us not to feel separation but to perceive only unity, tranquility and well-being” says Richard Miller (author and international teacher of Yoga Nidra).
